Humid summers, hard winters and a lot of shade give algae, mildew and lichen everything they need. North facing walls stay damp longest and go first, roofs streak downward from the ridge, and concrete holds whatever runs off both.

Working from the ground instead of off a ladder

Most of what we do is reached from the ground: extension wands for siding, a water fed pole for upstairs glass, and low pressure application for roofs. Fewer ladders means fewer marks on the gutters, less risk, and a faster job.

Where a Geist property genuinely needs someone up there, we are insured for it and we will say so in the estimate rather than at the door.

Softer surfaces we get asked about

Painted wood, stained wood, stucco, EIFS, screens and older mortar all fail under pressure long before they look clean. They are soft washed, at a pressure set to the surface rather than to the schedule, and where a surface cannot be cleaned safely at all we say so.

What we will not take on

We do not do handyman work, landscaping, painting, roof replacement or major roof repair, construction, remodeling or interior cleaning. We are an exterior cleaning company and nothing else.

We also decline any job where high pressure would create an unreasonable risk of damaging the surface, rather than doing it and hoping. A refused job is cheaper for everyone than a repaired one.
